We have some news to share, and we want to be upfront about it: subscription prices across all of our plugins are increasing, effective immediately.
We know that’s not easy to hear, so we want to take a moment to explain why — honestly and transparently.
Why we’re making this change
Across all of our products, the story is the same: for several years, we deliberately subsidized our pricing — keeping it at roughly 50% of its real cost — because we believed in what we were building and wanted to give people the chance to see its value for themselves.
That approach worked. But it was never sustainable long-term.
Rising infrastructure costs, taxes, third-party service fees, and the general cost of running a software business have all increased significantly in recent years. What began as a deliberate subsidy became harder and harder to maintain. The previous pricing no longer reflects what it actually costs to maintain, support, and continuously improve products used daily by hundreds of thousands of websites. We held on as long as we responsibly could.
This also isn’t just about keeping the lights on. Each of our plugins has received meaningful updates over the past years, with even bigger features currently in development. Your subscription is what makes that work possible.
What’s actually changing
Our previous pricing was never the “real” price — it was a discount we absorbed on your behalf. That’s no longer something we’re able to sustain across the board.
Going forward, new subscriptions will still benefit from a first-year introductory discount — so you can still get started at a reduced price. But renewals will now be charged at the full, unsubsidized rate. This is the price that reflects what it genuinely costs to run and grow these products.
We know renewal pricing can feel like a surprise if you’re not expecting it, so we want to be fully transparent about it upfront: the renewal price will be higher than your first-year price, and that difference is intentional. It’s not a billing error — it’s the real cost of the product.
Here’s a closer look at each product.
Modula Image Gallery
Modula is used daily by over 150,000 websites — photographers, designers, agencies, and everyday WordPress users who rely on it to showcase their work beautifully and reliably.
Recent updates have brought new gallery types, performance improvements, smarter album management with multi-level structures, easier add-ons handling, and much more. And even bigger features are coming that we think you’ll genuinely love.
Modula has always punched above its price point. The new pricing better reflects the product it has become, and the one it’s continuing to grow into.
Download Monitor
Download Monitor is trusted by over 90,000 websites to manage, track, and protect their downloadable files.
What started as a straightforward download management plugin has grown into a robust solution with detailed analytics, access control, member-only downloads, and integrations that go far beyond the basics. Maintaining that level of functionality and continuing to expand it requires real, ongoing investment.
The updated pricing reflects the maturity of the product and the resources needed to keep it reliable and actively developed.
Strong Testimonials
Strong Testimonials is used by over 90,000 websites to collect, manage, and display customer testimonials with the flexibility that few other plugins can match.
Social proof is one of the most valuable things a business can add to its website, and Strong Testimonials has grown into a feature-rich tool for doing exactly that, with custom forms, spam protection, testimonials imports from Google, and display options that work across any theme or layout.
The new pricing reflects what it takes to maintain and improve a plugin at this level, and to keep delivering the features our users rely on.
Kali Forms
Kali Forms is used by over 10,000 websites as a fast, flexible, and user-friendly alternative to the more bloated form plugins in the WordPress ecosystem.
Despite its simplicity, Kali Forms packs in conditional logic, email notifications, anti-spam tools, and a growing list of features that make it a genuinely powerful choice for building forms of any complexity. Keeping that experience smooth and well-supported takes consistent effort.
The updated pricing reflects that commitment.
What this means for you
The new pricing takes effect immediately for all plans, including existing subscriptions. We understand that timing is never ideal for news like this, and we’re grateful for your understanding.
